    Favorite Verse:
Where there is no guidance, the people fall, but in abundance of counselors there is victory. Proverbs 11:14

Scott grew-up in Appleton Wisconsin and played collegiate basketball at Northland College. He has coached all levels of youth basketball since his beginnings with Upward over 10 years ago. For the past 18 years Scott has worked in the community as a project manager for the City of Bellevue Park system. He lives in South King County with his wife Margaret and their son. His step-daughter is duel Div.1 athlete playing both basketball and volleyball for the University of Hawaii. Scott also serves as Cub Master for his sons Pack 337 at Northwest Church in Federal Way. In his free time he loves to sail, camp, and spend time working on his recreational property in Pt. Roberts.

    Personal Fact:
In 2006 I was blessed to be part of mission trip to Senegal West Africa. In a partnership with Upward Sports our church facilitated the construction of a basketball court at a school in a remote village. We then provided the local youth basketballs and skill camps in which hundreds of kids participated. That experience helped shape my understanding of what a powerful ministry for change youth sports can be.
